Emma Kate Wilson MMus, BMus

Emma Kate Wilson is a contemporary voice specialist, SVI-trained vocologist, and early-career researcher with over two decades of teaching experience, including more than ten years as a tertiary voice lecturer. Emma specialises in the training and habilitation of emerging and professional contemporary singers and singing teachers. She also collaborates with other voice professionals in the post-injury rehabilitation of singers experiencing voice problems.

Emma holds a Master of Music Studies in Voice Pedagogy from Griffith University and a Certificate in Vocology from the Utah Centre for Vocology (USA). Currently an HDR candidate at the University of Southern Queensland, Emma’s research examines the occupational vocal health and demands experienced by singing teachers, and approaches to measuring vocal demands in occupational voice users.

A passionate advocate for professional development and community building for voice teachers, Emma is the current Queensland Chapter President and a former board member of the Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing (ANATS). She also actively mentors both early-career and established voice educators. Through her work as a university lecturer, clinical vocologist, and studio teacher, Emma is committed to fostering sustainable, reliable vocal techniques for both artists and the professionals who train them.
