Day 1 - 28 Sept, 2026
Registration

Welcome - Opening Ceremonies
We dive into the conference by introducing the conceptual framework for the next three days. Dr Gupta will explore the concept of artist as athlete, drawing parallels to sports medicine and performance. Learn about how a sports framework makes us better at proactively caring for and supporting vocal athletes.
Sponsor Feature: The Voice Straw -the what, why and how - Mindy Pack
Mindy Pack, founder and creator of The Voice Straw, understands straw phonation (semi-occluded vocal tract exercises) like no one else. This will not just be an explanation of how this works. You will learn how to use the straw. Attendees are encouraged to purchase a Voice Straw in advance so they can use them during this practical course.
Lunch
An hour to process, digest the information and your meal while meeting your colleagues.
Your Instrument Revealed - Dr Reena Gupta
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology enhances use and allows singers to troubleshoot and speak a common language with their doctors and coaches. We’ll demystify this instrument and make it feel as familiar as the strings on your guitar.
Songwriting for Everyone - Gareth Henderson
All the elements that make songwriting feel inaccessible are brought to you in an achievable and practical way.
500 Gigs: What the Stage Teaches That Lessons Can't - Dave Spicer
A personal gigging roadmap — concrete steps from the practice room to the stage.
Afternoon tea
We’ll need this break to assimilate and integrate all the knowledge. Share notes over a cuppa.
